I’m Daniel Maciel. I’ve spent more than 24 years in volleyball and I’m still competing professionally at 38. For years, I trained hard. I was strong, muscular and disciplined, but hard work alone didn’t solve everything.
I’ve gone through knee surgery, shoulder surgery, injuries, long seasons and the challenge of keeping my body ready year after year.
The lesson wasn’t that I needed more exercises. It was that I needed better decisions: what to train, how much, in what order and how to make the gym serve volleyball instead of competing with it.
APS is the system that came from that process. I still use these principles on my own body.
At 37, I recorded a documented 3.65m attack reach in Italy and at 38, I’m still competing.
APS isn’t built around what looks impressive in the gym, it’s built around what helps a volleyball player keep performing on the court.
